Late evenings? If that means late evenings as in American time... then he has no more skill than IWAY noobs.
The ranking system is full of shit. We now have IWAYs with r6 and r9, playing the exact same build they played 5 months ago who think they're good. And people who should be good at PvP but instead farm fame late at night when nobody is around to challenge them. Or people that run Blood Spike and reach r9+. I'm sure last year rank actually use to mean something... myself i got rank 1 after working on it for ages with pugs... then IWAY hit home and Tombs was then completely ignored as rank became worthless.
Its just funny how it still is. This double fame HA event, or the 'VimWAY your rank6' weekend event really didn't help it.

The weekend rocked.
Mainly, because i had the chance to get my iway and vim and vimway free r4, wich made me proud =)
And also, got to play with my guild, wich was also quite nice, since we dont do HA often.
And because i did some amazingly fun henchway...God it rules.
About the fame, must have made about 100-200

192.
91-283. Mostly as Vimway as it's easier to get into a group, and I like trapping. Best runs were in balanced though, 1 shock, tainted warder, 2 eles, 2 monks. But harder to get together or get into.

I went from 4500 to 5350 so 850 (approx.) Played pretty much every day, problem was, I was either always changing grps (because ppl had stuff to do) or rerolling (becuase we were trying stuff). Good thing was, grps were formed much faster.
Some guy said he got 9 fame LOL. WTF?
Also, HawkofStorms Avatar, turns me on and makes me want to play SC now that HA is gay again and ladder is locked.

I think a better question (for experimentation) would be how many fame did you get and what builds did you use. All the guys who got 500 or more I would bet used dual smite thumpers.
I quit HA long ago, only got about 200 fame during the weekend.

I went from 99 fame to 181 fame without the help of my friend, who said he'd help. I bambi'd him in the face. And now my bro's mad at me cause I'm finally better at him in one thing...

I was already rank3 with 350 fame before the event. Helped some guildies make some fame the first day, got up to 380 fame. I had never played vimway, so I figured might as well try it out. Made it up to 410 fame the next day with vimway. It's a fun build to play first, but it becomes monotonous after an hour or so. Helped one guy I met up with get to rank3, then called it quits that night. Didn't feel like getting any more fame, since my only goal was to reach rank4, which I did after the first 30 minutes or so.
I'm glad some people that never did pvp much got a taste of HA. I hadn't consistently done HA since January, and I was quickly reminded of why I stopped playing: too many elitist jerkoffs thinking they're great because they ran one build to rank6/rank9. Screw that noise.

Nah, most people that got more than 500, were running Mel Arrors + Crip shot. Smiting wasn't very popular due to the Nr/Tranq and ViMways.

actually I hardly saw any iway at all on the double weekend, and if all you saw was vimway, then you never made it past the first 2 maps
cheers

I haven't been in HA since last Spring, except for some odd runs. Zero and happy with it
GvG is nice relaxation nowadays.
